A world where the music sounds like home, our accents don't need translating, our culture isn't watered down, and being Black, Caribbean and queer isn't something we have to separate into different pieces of ourselves.
On the DL was created because we wanted more than parties. We wanted community.
We wanted a space where you could dance all night and still come back tomorrow to find an opportunity, discover a queer-owned business, access a resource, hear someone else's story or simply be reminded that you're not navigating this life alone.
Some of us came from places where being ourselves meant being careful. Some of us spent years hiding pieces of who we were. Some are still figuring it out.
Here, you don't have to have all the answers.
